I am headed to LA/Temecula this weekend. It is not my first time in the Southern California Wine Region, but it will be my first time heading there to taste wine.

Just a few minutes ago, two wine friends posted an article called “Why Do I Write About Wine?” by Evan Dawson, a wine writer and news reporter with the New York Cork Report, etc.
I have never met Evan, nor am I connected to him directly via Twitter or on Facebook, but I had to check the article out. That is where I read what I will now consider my favorite quote about wine:”Wine is food, and food is life, and life is about the connections we make.”

This quote imbibes everything that I love about being a part of the wine, food, and/or Sonoma County industry. Wine, beer, sparkling bubbles and food is life. And life is definitely about the connections and laughs we create. I need to print this quote up and frame it in my kitchen… Right after I friend Evan on Facebook!
If only it was that easy for the rest of us….

Now that I am a pseudo-dog owner because of Jeff Bull and his two lil’ brats – Macey the Yorkie and Jackson (pictured) the Morkie I have been paying more attention to dog-friendly wineries, restaurants, events and things to do around Sonoma and Napa Counties.

According to my Pinterest “cravings” board, I love cooking and fall vegetarian foods ~ pumpkin, squash, broccoli, chickpeas, kale ~ anything orange, yellow and green. According to my eating habits, I love cheese and I eat out much more than I should. I look forward to the day when the my food dreams become my real-life eating habits!
