Facebook admins are now able to schedule their Facebook posts on brand pages. This is a huge step for social media managers who use Facebook to connect with customers.
Third party tools such as Hootsuite have been able to schedule tweets and Facebook posts for a while now, but finally we can schedule a first of the month status update directly from Facebook.
Even recent changes to Hootsuite’s posting capabilities, aka people being able to change the image, article description and copy of the status update, don’t seem to be the same as simply posting from Facebook. See articles on why posting from a third party social media tool DECREASES engagement rates on Facebook.
This new schedule feature has been rolled out slowly to brand pages, so if you don’t currently have it… Just wait. Facebook will allow this feature soon on a Facebook Brand page near you.
Also, a thing to note is that as of now you cannot edit the post after scheduling… But you can reschedule posts or delete and start over in your activity log under “manage” in your Admin Panel.
How to Schedule (Brand page) Posts on Facebook:
1. Write your status update, add a picture/video
2. Click on the small clock in the left hand corner of the Facebook post
3. Add the year, month, date, hour and minute
4. Hit POST
5. Visit your activity log (in admin panel) to manage scheduled posts
