Cody Holyoak from Aces Over Eights Tattoo in downtown Petaluma added my latest ink to my right hand wrist last night – Five birds. Four black birds and one special blue bird to be my own representation of the Twitter bird.

Yes, some people thought it was silly that I got a bird tattooed on my body that symbolizes my love for Twitter.  But, honestly it is because of Twitter that I have been able to own a marketing agency, connect with some many amazing people across all industries and states and been able to truly do what I love for a living….  I am so thankful for all the connections I have made because of it… All starting with a simple tweet.

My new friend Tim Gwynn (aka @tgwynn) which I met on Twitter and then in real life at ISTE 2011 posted this video on one of my Facebook pictures and it cracked me up so I wanted to share it with you all.

Last weekend I watched the movie Bridesmaids. I went thinking to myself it was just another girly movie that may cause me to laugh a few times… Little did I know this movie was f*&%king FUNNY.  I have been recommending it to both guys and girls who like good old-fashioned toilet humor (don’t worry this is only one scene).

Currently I am in Seattle to celebrate one of my best friend’s 30th birthday and one of the themes of this weekend seems to be holding on. More on that in a follow up blog…

So in the spirit of best friends, the movie Bridesmaids and an amazing 30 years of life, I am asking you to turn the volume up and sing along to this song as loud as you possibly can.  Bonus points if you do it with a friend.  Triple score if you do it in front of a large group of people.

My whole life it has been the most simple of things that have made me the happiest. Whether it is a simple cocktail, sneaking a donut in the morning, the perfect soy chai, a great one liner or a friend’s “Ha,” I find pleasure in the simple things in life.

Right now it is my new strawberry hair, my MGMT Pandora station and the coffee shop, Coffee Catz that is making me :)

My good friend and hair stylist, Sara Webb of Mint Hair in downtown Santa Rosa has been coloring my hair for over a year now.  It has always been some form of red, either with a purple streak, chucks of blonde or black or…  Yesterday, she dyed it an awesome version of bright strawberry blonde with a few dark red undertones in the front and underneath.  Needless to say, I LOVE it… And I cannot wait to go even lighter next time we dye it!

Currently I am sitting in the Sebastopol coffee shop called Coffee Catz.  It is one of my favorite places in Sonoma County to write because of the “grandma’s living room” feel, complete with a grand piano and comfy seating.  The soy chai and my allseed bagel with hummus and avocado are the perfect afternoon snack for writing.

Playing on my MGMT Pandora station is Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth. One of my favorite songs from this band.  I definitely recommend it!

What simple activities have made you :) this week?

I am headed to SXSW for both the education and interactive conference in one week and 3 days and next Saturday I will be getting my hair colored (yes, once again) by the lovely Sara Webb from Mint Hair in downtown Santa Rosa.

I would LOVE your help in choosing a color!

Of course, it will be some type of red, but I am completely open to suggestions of what color red.

{note: I have had every version of red, and they all work}
