The What People Think I Do / What I Really Do meme just started and while there are many that are very fitting to my lifestyle (this one about bloggers, oh… and this one about public relations people… or this one about marketers), I thought this one about being a vegetarian fit because of all the misconceptions. Many of my family members still think that tofu is mushy and refuse to try it…. What I say to them: “Your loss.”

Q You?? re a passionate vegan and you write a hysterical advice column in VegNews I seriously can?? t stop laughing when I?? m reading it .
I love barrel tanstig but the last couple of years it seems to have gone from a gathering of people truly interested in wine who are looking for a chance to get some excellent examples early and at a good price to one big drunken party with way too many folk just there to guzzle alcohol and party on. Two years ago I wanted to take some friends to a new winery I had discovered. When we got there at about 2:30 we were refused admittance. An apologetic employee explained that a large group of rowdy drunks had invaded the tanstig room and once they could get them out the door they would close for the day.So if you plain to go please model polite behavior. As will I.
Ha, I totally agree with the lettuce one. My friends always say to me (I’m vegan), “Don’t you get tired of just eating lettuce?” It’s crazy to think that people just don’t get what being a vegetarian is all about.
Nice job!
I did a vegan version in case you’re interested. It’s at vegonthetable dot com
